Privacy Policy

Last updated October 23, 2026 · Terms of Service

The short version

  • We keep what you type into Sieve and the contact details you give us at checkout or in a Market Map application. No ads, no cookies; just anonymous counts of which steps visitors reach, kept on our own server.
  • Our results describe businesses, built from public listings and the businesses’ own websites. They name a person only when that business’s own site does.
  • Any business, or anyone named in our results, can ask to be removed, and we’ll keep them out of future results.

1.Who we are

This policy covers sieveleads.com and the Sieve service (free previews, Territory Runs and Market Maps), operated by Sieve (“we”, “us”).

Questions or requests about privacy: hello@sieveleads.com.

2.Information you give us

  • Prompts and territories. What you type into the preview box and the counties you pick. We store each preview with its results so its link keeps working, so an identical prompt can replay for 72 hours, and so we can run the full territory if you buy it. Prompts are for describing businesses; please don’t put other people’s personal information in them.
  • Checkout. Your work email, your company (optional) and any customer domains you ask us to leave out. Card details go straight to our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your card number. We keep Stripe’s payment references and the amounts held and charged.
  • Market Map applications. Your name, work email, company, website, role, industry, what you sell, who buys it, your best customers, the counties you serve, delivery preferences, CRM, budget, timeline and any notes.
  • Messages. Anything you send us by email, including guarantee claims and removal requests.

3.Information collected automatically

The site doesn’t use cookies, advertising pixels or third-party analytics. Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading the site doesn’t contact other services.

To see where visitors get stuck, the site records a few anonymous steps on our own server: which pages are viewed, whether a preview was run and finished, whether checkout or the Market Map form was opened or sent, the website that referred you, and any campaign tag in the link you followed. Each visit gets a random ID kept in your browser tab’s session storage and deleted when you close the tab. It isn’t linked to your name, email, IP address or device. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, none of this is recorded.

Like any website, the servers that host Sieve keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and when) for security and troubleshooting. Stripe’s checkout pages are covered by Stripe’s own privacy policy.

4.Information about businesses in our results

Sieve’s results describe businesses, not consumers. We call this business data.

Where it comes from

  • Public online business listings: a business’s name, category, address, phone, website, rating and number of reviews.
  • The business’s own public website: its homepage, menu, about, team, services and contact pages.

What we make from it

  • A fit score against a customer’s criteria, with quotes from the business’s own pages as evidence.
  • Email addresses the business publishes, labelled as direct, role or general, with a check that the email domain has a working mail server. We don’t send test emails to mailboxes.
  • Social media links the business publishes.
  • The name and role of an owner, chef or other decision-maker, only when the business’s own website names them or links to their professional profile. We never guess names from email patterns.

What we don’t do

We don’t buy data from data brokers, collect home addresses or personal phone numbers, read private social media, or build profiles of people beyond their published role at the business.

5.How we use information

  • To run previews and full runs, and to deliver reports, CSV files, the Outreach Kit and the Route Map.
  • To take payment, apply guarantees and credits, and keep records for accounting and tax.
  • To review Market Map applications, check Territory Lock availability and reply to you.
  • To improve how accurately Sieve qualifies businesses.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.

6.Who we share it with

  • Our customers receive business data, including any decision-maker names and work contact details found on a business’s own site, when they run previews or buy reports. They use it to contact businesses about their products and services. If that includes you, see Removal requests.
  • Stripe processes payments.
  • Anthropic provides the AI model that reads prompts and checks businesses, when AI qualification is switched on. Your prompt and text from businesses’ public web pages are sent to Anthropic’s API to produce results. Anthropic’s commercial terms don’t permit it to train its models on content sent through its API.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our servers and store data for us.
  • Scheduling. If you book a call with us, the scheduling service handles that booking under its own policy.
  • Legal and business reasons: when the law requires it, to protect our rights or others’ safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.

We don’t sell the personal information of our visitors and customers, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.

7.Removal requests

If your business, or your name, work email or role, appears in Sieve results and you’d like it removed, email hello@sieveleads.com with the business name, its website, and what you want removed (the whole business, a person, or an email address).

Within 10 business days we’ll exclude it from every future preview, report and export, including reports created before your request that we still hold. We keep a short record of the request so the removal stays in place when our index is refreshed. We can’t recall copies a customer has already downloaded.

8.Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it or give you a copy. Depending on where you live, including New Jersey, privacy law may give you these rights; we extend them to everyone. We don’t use personal information for targeted advertising or for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about people.

Email hello@sieveleads.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we’ll answer within 45 days. If we turn a request down, you can reply to ask us to reconsider, and we’ll explain our decision.

9.How long we keep it

  • Previews and reports: kept so their links keep working, and deleted on request.
  • Orders and payment records: as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
  • Market Map applications: while we’re considering or serving your account, and deleted on request after that.
  • Copies of business web pages used to qualify leads: refreshed after 7 days.
  • Anonymous usage steps: deleted after 13 months.
  • Removal requests: kept for as long as the removal applies.

10.Security

We send everything over encrypted connections, leave card handling to Stripe, and limit who can reach our systems. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects your information, we’ll tell you as the law requires.

11.Children

Sieve is a business service for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

12.Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll say so on this page before it takes effect.

13.Contact
